How To Request New Features

As we grow and take on more clients we receive a lot of requests for new features in ProMart 2.0 As most our our clients know we are adding new features to the sites on a daily basis. Since our original launch in 2015 there have been 1222 separate code changes and additions to ProMart 2.0.

Google Sheets - Replace Special Characters - Lower Case - Concatenate

Today I made something beautiful. But you probably have to appreciate excel formulas to appreciate this! This formula is used to create aliases or slugs.

We use slugs to create custom URL's for our products and categories, since we ditched our SEF URL component due to speed issues we now store them as a single line in the database.

Simply replace A1 and A2 with your Product Title and SKU respectively.

Global Margin Adjustments

Previously all margins were set when the products were imported. We either set the values in the google sheet or set them to a default value on the import system. This takes a lot of time to import all lines for a global margin adjustment. 

This is why we have now added a new feature that allows users to manually adjust margins on a supplier / category basis or just to an individual product.

Happy New Year for 2016 From All at PromoNet

Just a quick post to say thank you to all our clients for your new and continuing business in 2016. Last year saw the first release of ProMart 2.0 to the promotional merchandise industry in the UK. We have taken on over 10 new sites in 2015 with over 35 brand new ProMart users. We currently run 4 ProMart 2.0 Servers on Amazon Web Services!

Our goal for 2016 is 100+ users. January is fully booked for site builds and new integrations are on the way. Including new Google E-commerce transaction tracking modules and Xero accounts software integration planned before April 2015.

Stripe Payments

After much deliberation and several requests we have now integrated ProMart 2.0 with the Stripe Payment System. Stripe offers a much cheaper alternative to SagePay. The rates are better and the Monthly costs are reduced to zero. Our good friends at No-Minimum also use Stripe so a lot of distributors will already have a Stripe account setup.

With Stripe, you can charge almost any kind of credit or debit card: U.S. businesses can accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. Australian, Canadian, European, and Japanese businesses can accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

Task Manager

The task manager is a to do list that shows the current day's tasks in order of priority. Various links around ProMart 2.0 assign tasks to certain users. You can raise a task for a visual to be created that is linked to the quote and user automatically.

Top 10 Things You Should Be Aiming For On Your Promotional Merchandise Website

1. Mobile Friendly Responsive Design

On April 21st 2015 Google announced that they would boost mobile friendly websites in search results to mobile users. This means that you should really be providing a more mobile friendly website.

2. Fast Accurate Search with No Page Refresh

Having a fast ‘search as you type function’ allows an end user to refine search results without refreshing the page. This allows the end user to find information faster and hold their attention longer. Remember more than 3 clicks to find information is the rule.

New Feature: Source Tracking in ProMart 2.0

This week we will be releasing a new feature Source Tracking. One of the most difficult things on promotional merchandise industry websites is to track the source of enquiries and orders. It's difficult because tracking in analytics programs requires a point of sale in order to gauge conversion and the return on investment of a particular sales funnel.

Often you may know how many enquiries you have got, or orders if you have that facility with your current site. But tracking which actually convert from enquiry to quote to order is a bit harder when your systems are all different and not joined together well...
